Questions

Good to know

How does a photo become a pattern?

HookSnap reads the stitch, shape and size from your photo, then works out every round and stitch count for your yarn and hook. Patterns are estimated from the photo, so you get something close to the piece you love, not an exact copy.

Does it work with Pinterest?

Yes. Paste a pin link, or save the image and upload it. Any photo of a finished crochet piece works.

I'm a beginner. Is this for me?

It is. Make mode shows one round at a time in big type with a tap counter, and you can tap any stitch to see how it is done.

What comes out best?

Hats, bags, scarves, blankets, granny squares and simple tops. Amigurumi, lace and colorwork are marked approximate, so work a swatch first.

US or UK terms?

Both. Switch any pattern between US and UK terms with one tap.

What does it cost?

HookSnap is a Pro subscription. You see the plans and prices before you pay anything, and you can cancel any time.
